Even though the summer has been hot and dry, God’s Word has been rich and flavorful. I love reading the book of Proverbs. It seems that I have been tested with some of the very things I’m reading in Proverbs, and I have let my emotions get the best of me. I should have followed what Proverbs say’s and that’s to control my emotions and to think about what I’m thinking about. Don’t make the situation bigger than it is. Aww life’s lessons, no matter our age we are always learning.

In case you have missed the “Verse of the Week”; 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:6 and 7, Psalm 118:24, Philippians 4:13 and 19, and Nehemiah 8:10…

Enjoy the rest of summer…

This summer Pastor Rusty’s messages on “Family Matters” has been pure gold. A mans needs and a womans needs was just a reminder for some and enlightment for others. Just so you know:
A Womens Needs: #1. Security #2. Communication #3. Leadership and a Mans Needs: #1. Honor #2. Sex and #3. Fellowship. If you want to hear the message go to Media on our website and give a listen. This summer has been amazing with messages that can encourage your family and even bring change where needed. Continue to read the bood of Proverbs and meditate on the Verse of the Week: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Pastor Rusty began our Chair Campaign this past Sunday, we need 200 chairs for the new PowerKids. Just $30.00 dollars buys a chair. I know everyone will want to buy a chair for a child that will have the opportunity to receive Jesus as Saviour. Blessings to you this week!!!

The month of June Pastor Rusty has asked us to do two things.
Once a week we will have a Verse of the Week, this first week our verse is 1Peter 5:7 Give all your worries to him, because he cares about you. Recently I had someone ask me, “How do I not worry”? If we will turn our worries into our prayers and then give them to God and make the profession that I refuse to worry about this. The devil is always going to bring up your worries and every time he does give them back to the father. Just start again with that prayer, turn what your afraid of into the positive. Instead of saying, “I’m afraid we are going to have tornadoes”, say “Our home, our town, even the panhandle of texas is protected from evil tornadoes any bad weather and Devil we have rain from above”. If we will change the way we talk we will have what we want instead of what we are worried about.
The second thing Pastor Rusty asked us to do was read the book of Proverbs for the summer. We are also doing a study of the book of Proverbs in our Tuesday Lunch Lifegroup. I am so excited about this study and reading. The Word of God is the most powerful thing on the universe, if you will read it with that knowledge in your heart it will change your life.

The Word of God is the most powerful thing on the planet. Can I encourage or even beg you to be reading your bible. This month at TCF we are reading Colossians and Philippians and as we get to the end of the month I am so encouraged by these verses. Col:1:28 So we continue to preach Christ to each person, using all wisdom to warn and to teach everyone,in order to bring each one into God’s presence as a mature person in Christ. Each week as you attend church you recieve a powerful word to help you through the week. Continue to be strong and have peace.

Pastor Rusty has asked our congregation to read the books of Philippians and Colossians for the month of May. In Philippians 1:27 it talks about allowing our conduct to be worthy of the Gospel of Christ. I would like to give some insight to this verse; there is alot packed into this verse.
Paul commanded the people of Philippi to shift their perspective from the earthly realm to the heavenly one. We should live in this world as citizens of another world, the heavenly kingdom. Our conduct should reveal our heavenly citizenship.
Stand Fast… We are not to stand alone in isolation, but together in oneness of spirit and mind, united for a common goal. Striving together…Teamwork is the key concept expressed by this Greek word, which literally means ” to engage together” just as we work together at church for one common goal, to see others receive Jesus as their Saviour. We work together to make the nursery work, PowerKids, GroundZero, LifeGroups, and the Java Cafe. It takes all of us doing our part to make church work. There are many other areas that involve many people helping to make TCF happen every week. We want to say a big Thank-You to all those that make TCF so successful every week.
For the Faith…God never intended for believers to be alone. His plan is that we should gather together in a church in order to strengthen and encourage each other. Paul was urging them to strive together, not just for the sake of their individual faith, but also on behalf of the truth of Christianity, our common faith.
Our prayer is that you will ask God what he wants you to see in these two chapters in the month of May. Blessings!!!

Then people will arrest you, hand you over to be hurt, and kill you. They will hate you, because you believe in me.
At that time many will lose their faith, and they will turn aganist each other and hate each other.

Many False Prophets will come and cause many people to believe lies. There will be more and more evil in the world, so most people will stop showing their love for each other.

But those people who keep their faith until the end will be saved.

The Good News about God’s Kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every Nation. Then the end will come.Matt:9-14

I think these verses answer alot of the questions people seem to be asking. In Matthew 24:24 It say’s, Even the elect can be deceived and then Jesus says, “Now I have warned you about this before it happens”. Be careful who you follow! I pray that you are able to discern who to listen to and what to read.

If people are saying you are Free in Christ and that means Do what ever you want, be careful. If they want you to leave the fold and come be with them, Jesus said, “Do not forske the assembling together of the saints”.

Whatever people are saying, Make sure it lines up wtih scripture. In these last days we must be aware of the wolf in sheeps clothing so that we are not deceived into believing a lie.

Paul says, “You were taught to leave your old self- to stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self becomes worse, because people are fooled by the evil things they want to do, but you were taught to be made new and to become a new person. Darkness has no fellowship with light. Now! Your in the light.

In the end the Good News will be prached in All the World, to every Nation and then the end will come. Are you following HIM or your own ideas?

Scripture states this concept repeatedly and emphatically. The very phrase “it is written” means exclusively transcribed, and not hearsay. The command to believe what is written means to believe only the pure word of God.
