About Parents' Place

Welcome to Parents' Place! Parents' Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to stregthening families and helping schools form effective parent-school partnerships. We offer several weekly classes such as Parenting, Marriage, For Kids Sake, and Sandcastles. Rusty is the Executive Director of Parents' Place and has been a parent educator for the past eight years. A strong believer in fatherhood, Rusty has presented in the area school systems and at the yearly Practical Parent Education Conference the "Challenges of Fatherhood." He uses his own children, Ashley and Kurt, for many of his examples and uses object lessons, video, and much humor to make his point. Rusty is a gifted teacher, adding laughter and fun to hold your attention. He was awarded "Parent Educator of the Year" in 1999 and in 2000 Parents' Place was awarded the "Making a Difference for Families" award.
